I have lived in Maple Leaf for over 20 years and have been an active member in the community with the Lake City Lions and the Rotary Club of Seattle Northeast. Roy Ovenell has been a Lake City business owner since 1992 as a proud insurance agent for Farmers Insurance. Shortly after opening his office here, he joined the Lake City Chamber of Commerce and began volunteering in the local community. Roy has served as a Chamber of Commerce board member, Treasurer, Vice President and even as President.

Since 1993, Roy has worked at Pioneer Days, now know as Salmonfest, helping run the Vintage Car Show, setting up traffic barriers and working at the Salmon Bake.

One of the happiest days of his life was when he married JoAnne, his wife of 18 years. In 1999 and 2000 he became the proud Father of his daughter Tia and son Griffin, respectively. A dedicated family man, he also enjoys spending time with his family, sporting events, hiking, biking and traveling the
world.

Jenny has worked in the Lake City area for the past 4 years. She is currently the Branch Manager at the Lake City BECU. Being a part of a Not-For-Profit Financial Institution is something she is very proud of. One of BECU’s focuses is their community efforts through Financial Empowerment. They are able to provide financial education through in person meetings with a Member Consultant, classroom presentations and webinars/seminars. Jenny has volunteered with organizations such as BankWork$, Relay for Life Shoreline & JDRF and loves to get involved in the community. Jenny holds a Bachelors of the Arts Degree in Business Administration, Management from the University of Washington.
