Manny Jacobowitz of Johnston Jacobowitz & Arnold, PC, a law firm for small businesses.
As a small business owner myself, I like working with people who have the grit to strike out on their own. One thing I’ve learned over years of helping small businesses solve legal problems is this: When you build a business, it’s not just a job, or an investment. It’s right at the heart of your life. And when someone attacks it, when they sue you, cheat you, or deny you your rights, you need someone who will fight for you in and out of court, while you keep building your life.
So I don’t just win in court, I use lawsuits as one tool to help find the best business solution to my clients’ problems. My clients are family enterprises, little startups, big companies, and independent contractors.
They are real estate developers, health care providers, contractors, farmers, inventors, investors, and more. They come to me because they’ve been hit by something far beyond the usual give and take of commerce—such as, they’ve been sued, a lease or a loan or some other contract went very sour, their new partner is a disaster, or they were defrauded. Then my two partners and I roll up our sleeves and apply more than 55 years of collective experience to steer through that storm to a safe landing.
Our office is in Belltown, but I love living here in Pinehurst. I’m a member of Townsquared, Congregation Beth Shalom, and Plant for the Planet. It’s great to find out that we have our own very active Chamber of Commerce, and I look forward to many more years in this community.
